The fertility treatment will begin, which may include:
Ovarian Stimulation: Use of hormonal medications such as gonadotropins (FSH, LH) to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs.
Duration
Approximately 10-14 days.
HCG Injection
An injection of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) to mature the eggs before retrieval.
Administration
Given 36 hours before retrieval.

Once the eggs are fertilized and embryos develop, they are transferred to the uterus.
Purpose
Implant the embryos in the uterus to initiate pregnancy.

The procedure takes about 15-20 minutes, with a 1-2 hour rest period afterward.
